Seaweed extract
Extrato de algas · efficacy moderate · evidence strong · bees safe
How it works
Not really a fertiliser: it is a biostimulant. Cytokinins and trace elements improve rooting, thicken cell walls and measurably increase tolerance of heat, drought and transplant shock.
Recipe
Per label, typically 5-10 ml per litre as a foliar spray or root drench.
How to apply
Spray or water at transplanting, before a forecast heatwave, and monthly through the growing season.

Supplies: Seaweed extract
Days to harvest after spraying: 0
Best months: April, May, June, July, August
Cautions
Will not correct a real nutrient deficiency - it is support, not food.
The thing people get wrong
The best moment to use it is the day BEFORE a heatwave, not during. Plants pre-treated with seaweed hold their stomata and recover far better, which on this coast is worth more than any feed.
